Accessibility
Last updated Oct 28, 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Burch apps. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we do
- The Hub's pages, and the menus, panels and dialogs in each app, work with a keyboard, in reading order, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and controls meet AA colour contrast in both the dark and light themes.
- Images have text alternatives, or are marked as decorative when their meaning is already in the text next to them.
- Settings → Motion → Reduce motion turns off animations on burch.app and shortens them across the apps, which also follow your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Mosaic has a text size setting (80% to 200%).
- Automated accessibility checks run on every update to the site.
Known limitations
- Editing canvases in Mosaic (the photo or drawing itself) can't be fully described to screen readers. The tools, menus, panels and dialogs around them are accessible, and many actions can be done by name from the search (Ctrl+K or ⌘K).
- Some features are new and may have problems we haven't found yet.
Tell us about a problem
If something doesn't work for you, contact support@burch.app. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use. We'll reply and work on a fix.
