Terms of service
Last updated Oct 28, 2026
These terms apply when you use burch.app and the apps on it, including Mosaic and Templates (the "Services"), made by Burch Technology ("Burch", "we"). By using the Services, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
Free to use
The Services are free. There are no fees, subscriptions or in-app purchases, so there's nothing to refund. If we ever offer something paid, we'll show the price clearly before you buy and publish the terms and refund policy that apply first.
Your work is yours
You keep all rights to what you create and to the files you open in the Services. Your work is stored in your browser on your device, and we don't receive it. You're responsible for keeping copies of anything important: clearing your browser's data, or using "Delete all my Burch data", removes it, and we can't recover it.
Using the Services fairly
Please don't:
- break the law, or infringe anyone else's rights (for example, by editing images you don't have permission to use);
- try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Services or the systems behind them;
- copy, resell or present the Services as your own, except as the licences of included open-source parts allow.
Our software and others'
The Services, their design and the Burch Technology, Mosaic and Templates names and logos belong to Burch Technology. The Services include open-source software, fonts and models used under their own licences, which are listed with the source code.
Changes and availability
We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering a Service. We'll try to give notice of big changes on the What's new page. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it.
No warranty
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that they'll keep your work safe.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Burch Technology isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or work, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
